BDL Inner Primary Spacers for Wide Tire Offset Applications
When building a custom chopper or fat tire bagger, pushing your rear tire width beyond stock limits often requires offsetting the transmission to the left to maintain proper chain or belt clearance. These BDL Inner Primary Spacers are the professional solution for filling the resulting gap between the engine and the inner primary, ensuring a rigid and perfectly aligned drivetrain assembly.
Technical Details
Precision-engineered by Belt Drives Ltd., these spacers are CNC-machined from high-quality billet aluminum and finished with a high-luster polish. Because the primary acts as a structural member between the engine and transmission, these spacers are machined to exacting tolerances to prevent case flex or binding. They provide a stable mounting surface that maintains the structural integrity of your driveline while accommodating significant offsets.
Features
- High-Grade Material: CNC-machined from billet aluminum for superior strength and a perfect fit.
- Wide Tire Optimization: Designed specifically for custom frames and wide tire kits requiring transmission offsets.
- Parallel Surface Precision: Eliminates stress on engine and transmission cases by ensuring perfectly square alignment.
- Polished Finish: Complements both open and closed primary setups with a show-quality look.
- Made in the USA: Manufactured to the highest standards of American craftsmanship.
Fitment Notes
These spacers fit 1984–1999 Evolution Big Twin models and 1999–2006 Twin Cam models (excluding Dyna 2006). Important: When using an inner primary spacer, you must also use a corresponding offset motor sprocket/pulley insert and longer mounting bolts (sold separately) to ensure correct geometry and thread engagement. Available in various thicknesses from 1/4″ to 1-1/2″.
